Diane S. Carlson, 59, of Overland Park, KS passed away October 18, 2015. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Friday, October 23, 2015 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, Overland Park, KS. Funeral service will be held 10am, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Guthrie Center Cemetery, Guthrie Center, IA at a later date.
Diane was born December 14, 1955 in Guthrie Center, IA. She married Ron Carlson on July 7, 1979. Diane was a gifted musician and was the pianist for many church ministries. She taught grade school at Maranatha Academy and was loved by students and parents. Diane was known for her generous heart and her empathy for others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Squires. Survivors include her husband, Ron Carlson; son, William Carlson; daughter, Kristen Carlson; mother, Doris Squires; sister, Jeanne (Steve) Cowan; and brother, John (Kristen) Squires.
