Edward H. Wentworth passed away at age 94 on May 20, 2014 at home in Lenexa, KS. He was born March 20, 1920 to Ray and Catherine Wentworth in Hays, KS. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 65 years, one son, Ray Wentworth, of Houston, TX; daughters, Joyce McCawley (Michael) of Kansas City, MO; and Diane Cory (Scott) of Omaha, NE; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Rose Bowers of Freemont, NE and a niece and nephew. A daughter, Virginia Wentworth Barbian, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be 9:30am-10:30am, followed by Celebration of Life at 10:30am, Friday, May 23, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Overland Park, 8200 W. 96th St. Overland Park, KS 66212. Burial will be in Indianola Cemetery, Butler County, KS.
