

Elaine Speake of Overland Park, KS passed away at home on June 6th 2015. Elaine was born on March 15th, 1958. She was preceded in death by her parents Rue and Mary Holland. She is survived by husband Bob, daughter Samantha and son Joe, siblings Stuart Holland (Marsha), Curt Holland (Laura), Tony Holland (Debbie), Tim Holland (Heather) and Julie Cavitt (Tom) and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and most of all “double first cousins” who all loved her dearly.
Elaine was raised in Merriam, KS. Building lifelong friendships, like the “Tweeb Gang”, while attending St Joseph High School and Kansas State University where her love for the Wildcats sprouted. Forever optimistic the Wildcats would win every game.
Elaine enjoyed a long career at EBT restaurant where she was lucky enough to work with her best friends and loved the loyal longtime customers. She accumulated over 30 years of service with Myron Green and Treat America (1½ year at Magnolia II and 29 years at EBT), serving great food and drinks, with endless smiles and boundless energy.
Although our hearts are broken, we know she will remain with us in spirit. We will get together and share hugs, tears, laughter and her memory will live on.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, June 11th, 2015 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe, Overland Park KS.
Funeral services will be 10:00am on Friday, June 12th at Church of the Resurrection (Wesley Chapel) 137th & Roe in Overland Park, KS.
