Ernest "Ernie" Schall

Ernest August Schall, age 85, passed away on May 16, 2018 at home in Overland Park, KS. Loving husband of Mary Lee Schall. Survived by his son, Michael Alan Schall and daughter, Lynn Schall Gallagher. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Susan Schall and son-in-law, John Gallagher; his grandchildren, Michael David Schall, John Joseph Gallagher Jr., Kelsey Briana Gallagher; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Lynn Schall and pre-deceased by his granddaughter, Karen Marie Schall. He is also survived by his great grandsons, August William Schall and Wilson Cooley Schall. Born in 1932, Ernest served in the United States Marine Corps and as a volunteer fire fighter while living in Illinois and Ohio, achieving the rank of Assistant Chief. He was a member of the Lenexa Police Auxiliary. Ernest worked in sales for numerous companies, retiring from International Paper as Manager in the Veratek division.

A memorial service will be held at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nall Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas on June 5th, 2018 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Avila University School of Nursing, 11901 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
