Florent William Wagner, age 87, of Leawood, Kansas passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. Visitation will be on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas 66206; Rosary at 10:30 AM; followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 AM. Graveside service will be at 1:45 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64138. Florent was born in Deepwater, Missouri on August 3, 1937. He attended Rockhurst College and graduated from UMKC with a law degree. He was Vice President of the Trust Department at Overland Park Bank for 20 years.
Florent's love of history lead to his particiaption in the Overland Park Historical Society on which he gave talks. He also belonged to the National Bell Collectors and the National Watch and Clock Collectors and Chapter 36. He was a member of Cure' of Ars parish for 58 years, serving as usher and lector.
Florent was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Margaret (Heiman) Wagner; and his brother, Clement Wagner.
Survivors inclued his sister-in-law, Karen and four nephews, Christopher and his wife, Janel, Mark, Shawn and his wife, Monica and Kurt and his wife, Jennie; six great-nephews, Paul, Luke, Noah, Jack, Ethan and Gabe; and two great-nieces.
