

Frances L. Lucas, 93, Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011 surrounded by family at Lakeview Village. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, with a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Friday, April 15th, at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., Overland Park, KS. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm in Highland Cemetery, in Highland, KS.
Frances was born March 14, 1918 in Froid, Montana, to William H. and Helma (Tobison) Davis. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1936. She married Charles W. Lucas of Highland, Kansas in 1938. She was employed by Robinson Shoe store as a cashier, A. C. spark plug a division of General Motors, Berbiglia Wine & Spirits, and Halco Automotive as a bookkeeper. She sold Tupperware, Avon and Fashion Two Twenty makeup. She was a member of the Pioneer Chapter of American Business Women’s Association for 52 years. She volunteered at Shawnee Medical Center. She was a member of the Southminster Presbyterian church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Nancy Leanne, husband Charles W. Lucas, brothers William H. Davis Jr., Darrell, Dean and Jerry Davis and a sister Josephine Kirschner.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip W. Lucas (Sherry) of Overland Park, KS, and Steven M. Lucas of Bonner Springs, KS; brother, Morris R. Davis (Sandy) of Lawrence, KS.; sisters, Beverly Evans of Topeka, KS., Sharon (Larry) Holman of Towanda, PA, Judy (Charles) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren: Shelley Boland, Asbury, IA, Christopher Lucas, Claremore, OK, Nathan Lucas, Billings, MT, Seth and Carrie Lucas of Bonner Springs, KS, Lt. JG Cody Adams stationed in San Diego, CA; sister in law Emibel Bruning of Leawood, KS; 6 great-grand children, and several nieces and nephews.
