Gail Gard Anderson

Gail was not only one of my mentors, my business partner, but a great friend too. We worked on many interior design projects together and I learned so much from her. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and she was so proud of them. Her talents and spunkiness will be missed but I am sure she is happy in heaven with Marv. RIP Gail, I will miss you.

Gail helped me with my first house when I was 25 yrs old and she worked @ Kopps. She was involved with every house after. It was so exciting to have her be the builders decorator for my final home. She had the most amazing eye for color. And she got you. Warm, patient and sincerely kind. She will be remembered.
Sarah, when I found out you were her daughter ( we worked together at Elizabeth Reed) I knew where your warmth and kindness had come. I know heaven is a prettier place now. Not just because of Gail’s spirit but also because of her style. RIP. You will be missed.

I have known Gail professionally for about 40 years. We met each other when Gail was the Head Designer at Kopp's Carpet in Lenexa, and continued on when Gail and Marv established Avant Garde Interiors. When I had new products to show, I always liked to run them by Gail first to get her expert opinion. Her talent was extraordinary!
In 1988 when I was a salesman for the LD Brinkman Company, Gail and Marv signed on to our Hawaii trip to the Big Island. We all had a blast that week, and socialized together both that week, and when we returned. I valued Gail's friendship, and will really miss her.

It was such a pleasure working with Gail on various projects. Plus I will always cherish our shopping trip to check out the furniture stores in town and enjoying a great lunch. We had so much fun! I also found this photo from 2016 and felt I should share. Gail was a beautiful lady inside and out and she will be greatly missed.
