My Great Aunt Helen was awesome you could always count on her to make you laugh and have a great time.
My favorite memory was when I was twelve years old. We lived on 3 acres.
I had no idea she was coming over.
She came over and said just to me let’s go out back. So off we went. We went and sat down in the field together Indian style she said. She pulls a few things out of her pockets. A new corn pipe and some pennies and a lighter. I had no idea what was going on. I new it would be fun if it was with Aunt Hellen. She says here we go. We have to pull some grass and put it in the pipe! She lights the pipe and says ok now we smoke it. “Real grass and smoke it?“ “ Yes,” so I did cough cough. She smoked it also, she coughs also. We laughed! :) Then she did this Indian chant. We laughed some more. Then she says how many warts do you have? 13 I answer. Here is a penny for each one. I am buying them away from you. I had warts all over my hands and hated them. Then she says these warts will all disappear in two weeks or less. I laughed in disbelief. We had done everything to get rid of these warts. We had the Dr. burn them off, cut them off, put different kind of wart medicine on them, even took prescription medicine that was supposed to get rid of them and nothing worked. We had fun and she said this is our secret you can’t tell anyone or it won’t work. I laughed again. You think I was going to tell I smoked. Then believe it or not less than a week and all of them disappeared. 48 years old and remember this like it was yesterday. I have never had a wart since. We always where buds but after this her and I had a bond like no other. LOVE YOU AUNT HELLEN!!
