Born on October 11, 1962, Jama was the beloved daughter of Alice Marie and James Leroy Kriss. She graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and later attended Johnson County Community College.
Jama built a dedicated career working in credit and collections, serving in the department for several large companies including Scholar, US Foods, and TVH. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability. She took pride in her work and the relationships she formed along the way.
Jama had a deep love for animals and adopted many throughout her life, giving them loving homes and care. She also enjoyed spending time doing crossword puzzles, reading, and researching. Jama found joy in staying curious and learning about the world around her.
Jama will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit by her family and many friends. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Jama is survived by her brother, Grant Kriss, and her niece, Kali Kriss, who will cherish her memory always.
