John Alexander Downey, 25 years old, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away January 3rd 2017 at home. Visitation is Tuesday January 10th from 6-8pm at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive Overland Park, Kansas 66204. Funeral services will begin Wednesday, January 11th at 11am at McGilley & Hoge Chapel followed by burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
John Downey was born September 13, 1991 in Merriam Kansas. He originally attended Shawnee Mission South for the advanced placement classes of Japanese and political sciences. He finished schooling at Shawnee Mission West. He loved family, friends and life.
John is survived by his mother, Kimbre Downey-Manning and father Michael Manning Jr.; a brother, Robert (19); two sisters, Trinidy (15) and Kaylee (11). He is also survived by his grandfather, John E. Downey; Juanita and Michael Manning and Gary and Carol Adrian. He is also survived by his great grandmother, Catherine Downey and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
