John Wilson passed away July 30th from complications following heart surgery. John is survived by his brother Christopher Wilson of Kansas City KS, a sister Victoria Kennedy of Apex, NC, and his niece Krystal Wilson and nephew Morgan Kennedy.
John leaves behind many friends he’s helped along the way. He gave all he could to those he loved, and then he gave some more. John along with his brother Mike, moved to Branson to start “Tech-Elect” in Branson Missouri, which was lighting company serving the entertainment industry in the theaters in Branson. Later while his brother remained in the lighting industry, John discovered his love for computers and technology. In 2002 he moved back to Overland Park so he could continue with his IT career for the next 11 years. His creative and perfectionistic personality served him well in this area as he always delivered quality in his work.
He spent the next few years helping his ailing parents until they passed in 2004/2005. He was a loving uncle to his niece and nephew. He was always there for them leading them with his loving guidance, laughter and friendship.
He was a good friend to so many, as John knew how to listen to those who shared with him, how to provide his warm support; he was always there for anyone who needed him. He would give you the shirt off his back and more.
I think most people though knew John for is sense of humor, which was a constant with him and remained right up to the end.
John will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched along his journey. I was one of those lucky ones.
