Julianna M Merryman

Juliana M. Merryman, known as Julie to family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at 80 years of age. Juliana was born on July 8th, 1945, in Kansas City and remained a lifelong resident.

She was an extremely intelligent woman, having worked in the early stages of computer coding, even coding by hand. Later in life, she would work as an accountant and retire as such. She was a member of the high IQ and intelligence society Mensa International.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas W. Lawless Sr., her mother, Martha M. Froeschl Lawless, her brother, Thomas W. Lawless Jr., and her late husband, William A. Merryman.

She is survived by her only son, Eric Carpenter of Overland Park; six grandchildren- Matthew Merryman, Celeste Merryman, Adrianna Carpenter, DeAndra Carpenter, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Jackson Carpenter; and two great-grandchildren, Esmé and Iris Guthrie.

A visitation will be held at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, located at 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas, 66204, on December 22, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

A graveside service will follow on the same day at Mt Olivet Catholic Cemetery, situated at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri, 64138, at 10:45 am.
