So sorry for the loss of a caring man, father and grandfather. Since he retired, he would be waiting on the front porch as Susie and I returned from our walk. I will miss that "Hey Sheryl!"

My brother in law was an amazing husband, father, friend, and true-life cowboy. The first time we met, he wore a cowboy hat, a belt buckle, and cowboy boots. His coolness awestruck me. My sister, Susie, was pretty smitten with him. I remember my mom happily sewing her wedding dress. When calling my sister, Larry would often be the one to answer the phone. We'd chat and he would ask me if I was okay. This went on like a 49-year phonebook. A week before his passing, I called their house and Larry picked up the phone. I asked him if Susie was doing okay, and he reassured me that she was. I did not know this would be our last conversation, but I am glad it is one of comfort. Larry will be deeply missed and remembered. Condolences to the Schwed family.
