Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although we were not privileged to meet Lela, our family is blessed to know Dan. May God comfort you with His peace during your time of loss.

My mother lovingly called Lela "Bones" and told me often how much she loved
Bones. My mother and Lela were double first cousins because their fathers were brothers and their mothers were sisters. Such a special bond will surely find them in heaven enjoying each other's company. Kate Fee Fulkerson (Timberlake NC)

I feel priviledged to have met Lela through the Shepherd's Center. I enjoyed our conversations very much. She will be deeply missed.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you - Dan, Joan, Tom and Margaret, and your families. I have so many wonderful memories of Lela...time we spent laughing, talking...her with sherry and me with a few cigarettes...All of you are very special to me. I am so sorry for your loss but would agree - she was indeed the armchair philsopher and political junkie. Take care.

I heard of Lela's death and wanted to express my thoughts and prayers to all of you - Dan, Joan, Tom and Margaret, and your families. I have so many wonderful memories of Lela. We spent many hours in great conversation, laughter, fun, sherry (wine for me), and yes, even a few cigarettes...overall, just great 'girl talk.' I regret I didn't get to see her in person before she died. Please know all of you will always be very special to me. Take care.

So sorry to hear of cousin Lela's death. She was the "first generation" of grandchildren for Grandma Braida and I was the "second" so I never knew her really well but it is still very sad to know family has passed away. May God's blessing be with you during this time and keep her safe in your hearts always.

I was privileged to work with Lela for several years. She called me 'Sunshine'; but she was the Sunshine. My prayers to her family for comfort.
