Leota Ruth "Becky" Schwenke

Leota “Becky” (Becking) Schwenke, 97, of Overland Park, KS passed away Sept. 1, 2018 at Garden Terrace. A memorial service will be held in her honor on June 12 at 4:00 pm at Grace Covenant Church at 11100 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS. A reception will follow at the church.

In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Crossroads Hospice.

Becky was born November 17, 1920 in Woodstock, IL to Edward Charles and Flora May (Mansfield) Becking. She was a Mom, Wife, Friend, Musician, Gardner, Teacher and Traveler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard "Dick" Schwenke and grandson, Matthew George Schwenke.

She is survived by sons, Bob (Linda) and Ed (Cathy) and daughter, Janet; granddaughter, Tina; grandson, Doug; 3 great granddaughters and 6 great grandsons.
