Logan Russell Woolley was born September 22, 1937 in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Wichita East High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army for years. Logan married Sandra James on June 5, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas. A few years later they welcomed their son, Jim, and then their daughter, Ginger. He worked for many years in the trucking industry in Overland Park, Kansas and retired in 2002.
After retiring, Logan spent most days outside with his John Deere. He always enjoyed mowing lawns and never met a dog he didn’t like and a dog that didn’t like him.
He had an uncanny ability to touch the lives of those around him and never failed to brighten everyone’s day with his witty humor and sass. He will be missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his partner, Sue; his son, Jim (Julie); daughter, Ginger (Scott) and his four grandchildren, Logan Richard, Derek, Kaelin Woolley, and Niklas Siebert, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra, and his parents. He will be missed by family, friends and dogs.
His memorial service will be held 2pm, Friday, February 25, 2022 at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel. The family would like guests attending to wear masks and to practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his memory to Great Plains SPCA, Attn: Development, 5428 Antioch Drive, Merriam, Kansas 66202.
