

Margaret Ann Keating Morgan “Peggy”, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away October 26, 2010 at her home. Peggy was born on February 9, 1935 in Loup City, Nebraska to Paul and Stella Keating. She graduated from St. Mary’s Cathedral School in Grand Island, Nebraska and attended Mount St. Scholastica College in Atchison, Kansas.
Visitation will be held at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr, Overland Park, Kansas 66204, on October 28, 2010, with a Rosary at 5:00 PM followed by visitation from 5:30-7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St, Overland Park, Kansas 66204 on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM.
Peggy was proud of her Irish upbringing and was a devout Catholic. She had an interest in the arts and was instrumental in a number of organizations throughout the community. She served as Administrator of the Arts Council of Johnson County. She co-founded the Poetry on the Bus Program, as well as a variety of events and programs for the arts. She was a founder of The Whole Person, an organization geared to assisting people with disabilities. Her volunteer work included Habitat for Humanity, Girl Scouts, Cerebral Palsy, Johnson County Mental Health, Menorah Medical, and Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was a member of Fine Arts Singles and Village Singles.
Her greatest passion and source of pride was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children and their spouses Kathleen Middleton-Orel and husband, Dennis Orel, Kelly and Mitch Morgan, Krystyn and Robert Morgan along with eight grandchildren: Brooks Morgan, Justin Orel, Keith Middleton, Eric Middleton, Collin Morgan, Adrianne Orel, Davis Morgan, and Tyler Morgan. She is also survived by cousins Mike McGinn and Butch McGinn, of Dunning, Nebraska.
