Marjorie (Marge) Phillips, 91, of Overland Park, KS. passed away on January 27, 2013. She was born in Davenport, Iowa on November 20, 1921 to parents; Ralph and Mildred Blum. Marge graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City in 1939. She attended Stephens College and the University of Missouri, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Sorority. She worked for the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Dept., where she met her future husband Charles (Bus) Phillips. They were married for 56 years until his death in 1999. They were members of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Prairie Village.
Marge is survived by two Sons; Thomas Phillips and wife Mary of Olathe, KS., Richard (Dick) Phillips and wife Barb of Gardner, KS., one daughter; Terry Gage and husband George of Paola, KS., along with loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all. There will be a private graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery on January 29, 2013.
