Martha McGrath Blank, 68, passed away on Saturday, February 7, in her home in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Martha was born on November 11, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Barrett Blank, with whom she shared her two children.
She is survived by her two children, Adam (Caitlyn) Blank of Portland, Oregon, and Justin Blank of Greenwood Village, Colorado; her brothers, Jim McGrath of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Jack (Lesley) McGrath of Overland Park, Kansas; her sister, Mary Jane McGrath of Overland Park, Kansas; and her niece, Alison McGrath of Lawrence, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosann and Paul McGrath.
Martha was born to Paul and Rosann McGrath and was raised in family homes in and around eastern Kansas. She was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother, and a hardworking presence in the lives of those she cared for. Martha remained closely connected to her siblings, her children, and her friends throughout her life.
After graduating from Shawnee Mission East High School, Martha attended Kansas State University, where she received a degree in Business Administration. She was known for her kindness, warmth, strong work ethic, and her ability to listen with care and compassion. She found joy in cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, and creating a welcoming home for those around her.
Even amid a full and busy life, Martha’s family always came first. She gave generously of her time and love, and will be remembered for her unwavering positivity, gentle kindness, deep faith, and quiet strength. Her children were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She took great pride in her faith, the memories she created with her family, and her dedication to volunteering.
Services for Martha will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208. The rosary will begin at 9:45 am with a visitation to follow from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Memorial Mass will start at 11:00 am.
