Mary Sue Coggins Hoge, 88, of Raymore, Missouri passed away on March 3, 2021 at home. Sue requested there be no services. She will be cremated and her remains will be scattered at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice. Sue loved animals and dogs above all. She had more dogs in her life than can be named!
Sue was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 17, 1932, the youngest child of George D. and Ruby O. Coggins; and sister to Alyce J. Sproull and Carl E. Coggins. She was a stay at home mom and wife, raising three children. When her husband, Tom retired, they traveled by motorhome and took several cruises. She loved camping with family and her dogs. Later in life, she discovered her artistic talent. She worked with oils and loved to sketch dogs, birds, flowers and her mountains in Colorado. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She loved spending time with any family member. Next came her friends and then her puppies, whom were treated like family.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey and Ruby Opal Coggins; her sister, Alyce Jean Sproull; her brother, Carl Edwin Coggins; her grandson, Darren Allen Hoge; and her granddaughter, Heather Lee.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas R. Hoge; daughter Sherry Abrahamson (Dennis); sons, Mark Hoge (Kathy) and Scott Hoge (Beth); grandchildren, Patrick (Tina), Sarah (Luke), Chris (Sarah), Alaina (Scott), Evan, and Samantha (Alan); and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
