On May 3, 1922, Lloyd and Eileen Kissick gave birth to Mary Elizabeth in Kansas City, Kansas. The family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where Mary eventually attended St. Teresa’s Academy and then on to St. Teresa’s College, where she earned a degree in music. Her performance days continued throughout her life as she served as an organist for the parishes she attended, not to mention family gatherings.
Graduation from college was quickly followed by her marriage to the love of her life, William (Bill) Owen Keleher. Over their 57 years together, they raised a family of eight.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Eileen, her brother, Lloyd Jr., and her husband Bill. She is survived by her children: Mary Northcutt (Robert), Catherine Mishkin (Richard), William Keleher (Jeanette), Michael Keleher (Tarese), Patricia Davis, Barbara Marasco (George), Joan Hail (Christopher), Thomas Keleher (Dana). The eight children are parents to twenty-two grandchildren: James, Samuel, Rebecca, Erin, Louis, Beth Ann, Peter, Patrick, Katy, Katie, Christopher, Bryan, Carrie, Anna, Andrew, Stephen, Anthony, Jenny, Joseph, Eileen, Kathleen, Michelle, and Madeline. The grandchildren, in turn, gave birth to thirty-three great-grandchildren.
Mary had many friends at Leawood Town Village Apartments in addition to those who shared her love of the game of bridge over the years. We all loved her and will miss her greatly. Please offer condolences at mcgilleyhogememorialchapel.com.
