Maureen Joyce Casey, age 87, of Mission, KS passed away on December 9, 2020. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Friday, December 18th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Memorial service will be private.
Maureen was born on June 24, 1933 in Bussey, IA to Emmit and Dorothy Lundy. She loved dogs, horses, reading, Elvis and Dean Martin. She volunteered at Animal Haven and enjoyed walking the dogs. Maureen was always fond of her home state of Iowa and would reminisce about playing basketball in her youth. She loved dancing and going to the dance halls in the 1940’s.
Maureen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hersh Casey. Survivors include her daughters, Lynne Rowland and Yvonne Demaranville; grandchildren, Brandon Rowland, Kyle Rowland and Nicole Atwood; and great-grandchildren, Freddy Rowland, Molly Rowland and Eilidh Atwoood.
