Mildred was a dear friend and wonderful lady.  I met her through her daughter Linda and I thought the world of her.  She was a brilliant lady.  I loved to listen to her tell stories of her life. The fasinating travels, the story of how she met her husband, the different positions she held, etc.  She would always offer me a glass a sherry when I visited and we could talk for hours.  She was one of a kind. I will miss her.

 Mildred Sherwood was  my  aunt. (My  fathers  sister) As  a  young  child  I  remember  how  much  she  loved  her  daughter  Linda,and  her  niece Vicky, and  nephews,  Myself  ,  Joseph  and  Bobby. She  started  her  career  as  a  bookkeeper,  and  soon  moved  on  to  be  a  smart  banker.  It  was  there  she  studied  and  understood  the  stock market, and  was  a  good  invester. She  also  worked  overseas  with  American  Oil  co.The entire  family  gathered  at  the  West  Elm  street home  in  New  Haven  Conn.  where  my  granmother  lived. The  family  including her  brothers  and  sisters  would  eat  our  aunt  Bettys food and  love  it. That  was  a  long  time  ago.  Mildred  was  tough when  it  came  to  business ,  but  in  the  end  when  it  came  to  family  she  remembered  us  all. Her  daughter  Linda  died  first  six years  ago. Now  Mildred  and  Linda  are  together  again  and  will  rest  in  peace.
