Patricia (Patty) Ann Bundi, 55, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully surrounded by her immediate family on the 22nd of November, 2025 at The University of Kansas Medical Center from cancer. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, located at 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS, 66204, on December 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Patty was born January 1, 1970 at Research Medical Hospital to Ingeborg Elise (Vognstolen) and Ronald John Greenhagen. She was one of four children.
She had one son, Patrick A. Cooper of whom she was a very proud mother. She enjoyed spending time with him watching movies, hanging out listening to music, and traveling abroad creating new memories. Some of her favorite pastimes included: gardening, crafts, journaling, attending fairs, and supporting charities.
She married Matthew N. Bundi on July 2, 2011 in Great Falls, Montana. After three attempts to date her, she finally said yes. They enjoyed long talks, watching movies, spending time with each other but most of all spending time with friends bowling.
She was a dedicated employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City for more than 30 years. What a great accomplishment in her career. She worked in various departments and shared her knowledge and experience with everyone. She was known for her bubbly personality and her nickname from many was “Positive Patty”. She served on the board of many employee resource groups, such as: Cross N Shield Club, Bluemasters (Toastmasters), and E3 Charity Group.
In 2014, she graduated from Baker University with her degree, Bachelor of Science in Management. Patty was a follower of Master Stephen Co and became a Certified Pranic Healer. She was also a Licensed Minister and performed weddings for her friends.
She was certified through the K-State Extension Johnson County as a Master Naturalist as a part of the Bluebird Stewards. This allowed her the opportunity to check on and gather information about the bluebird nesting and reproductive habits. Driving around the golf course checking on the nests and finding out if the eggs were hatched brought an adventure to her day.
For more than a decade, Patty was a member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). She served in multiple leadership and support roles where she left her enthusiastic mark in all she did. No challenge was too small or too big for her to conquer.
Her personality, enthusiasm, knowledge, and care will be missed by all that knew her. She left a positive impression on every person that she came in contact with, including the multitude of staff who cared for her during this journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ingeborg Elise (Vognstolen) and Ronald John Greenhagen, a sister, Rhonda, along with several aunts and uncles.
She leaves behind Matthew Bundi (husband), Patrick Cooper (son), Marie Kavanagh (sister), niece and nephews: Kyley, Frankie, and Ryan. She leaves a host of relatives along with friends and co-workers. She also leaves the other half of the tag team duo, Positive Patty and Bossy Becky.
The family would like to thank all the staff from The KU Medical Center, The KU Cancer Center, The University of Kansas Rehabilitation Center, Phoenix Home Health, and all those that supported her and the family.
