Born on June 10, 1949 in Salina, Kansas. Randy was known for his unwavering love and support of his family. He spent over 50 years working in the printing industry, a profession he loved for its challenges and rewards. Randy’s passion for producing quality products never waned; he was a constant source of knowledge and inspiration to those around him.
Randy lost his beloved wife Patricia to Alzheimers in 2022. He is survived by his children, Amy and Ailie; sons-in-law, Chad and Eric; and his grandchildren, Trevor, Aaron and Andrew, of whom he was so proud of all their successes. He is also survived by his dear sister, Marcia, who was a constant source of support over the last two years since Patricia passed. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Randy was completely devoted to his wife and family. Although he was often stoic and reserved in nature, and you couldn’t always see enjoyment on his face, he was well known for commenting “that was the best night ever” after an event. Being with family and friends touched him deeply. An avid sports fan, he was known to friends and family for his love of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and the University of Kansas Jayhawks. Earlier in life, he loved to fish with his father-in-law, and go camping with his friends.
In honor of Randy’s life, a Celebration of his memory will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas, with Vistitation from 10 am -11 am prior to the Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, in the memory of his wife Patricia.
Rest in peace, Randy. Your spirit will continue to shine in our hearts. Go Chiefs!
