Robert L. Campbell Jr.

Robert Lee (Bob) Campbell, Jr., age 72, of Prairie Village, KS died June 2, 2017 at his home. Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 6630 Nall Avenue, Mission, KS 66202 with reception following the service. Inurnment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church or to Kansas City Hospice.

Bob was born October 21, 1944 in Demopolis, AL. He graduated from Chaminade University, Honolulu, HI, received an MBA from the University of Chicago and an MS in Education from the University of Kansas. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a private and was medically discharged as a Captain. Bob served three tours in Vietnam and was awarded three Purple Hearts and the Silver Star. His careers first involved banking and finance and later teaching. He married Linda Hinsch on April 10, 1985. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his sister. He is survived by his wife, Linda; nephew, Richard Wintzel (Linda); brother-in-law, Scott J. Hinsch (Marsha); nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog guide, Caesar.
