

Rosanna M. Thompson, 83, of Lenexa KS, died peacefully in her sleep, Friday, August 5th, at home. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, August 9th at 4pm at the Heritage Activity Center, Lakeview Village, 9100 Park St., Lenexa, KS.
She was born Rosanna Marie Healey on July 8th, 1928 in Wilson, KS to John and Caroline Healey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Glen E. Thompson, and two brothers, Jean Healey, and James Healey. She is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Soukup of Lindsborg, KS, Mary Lee Molz (and husband Otis Molz), of Deerfield, KS, and two sons, Stephen H. Thompson (and wife Barbara), of Overland Park, KS, and Philip T. Thompson (and wife Marilyn Dawson), of Oak Park, IL, and two grandchildren, Phil and Marilyn's daughters, Hannah and Olivia Thompson.
She attended Ft. Hays State University where she met her husband, Glen E. Thompson of Beeler, KS, and completed her degrees in English and Art at Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL while he completed his seminary training.
She was a life long artist with deep interests in Jungian Archetypal Psychology, Native American belief systems, and self awareness through keeping her own illustrated dream journals for the past 30 years. She appreciated beauty, nature, simplicity, order, and the creative process. She allowed herself and others the time and grace to be at peace and present wherever they are in their journey through life. She will be remembered with the sweetness and joy she found in simple things.
