

Thomas E. Peretto, 89, Mission, Kan., died Nov. 13, 2012, at Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. He was born in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. Peretto was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was employed as a retail salesman at Sears before his retirement in 1984. He was a Catholic. He is preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Louis (Little Tommy); a brother, Louis; a step-brother, Bill; and four step- sisters, Catherine, Dorothy, Eleanor, and Helen. Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home; two daughters, Sheila Sullivan (Bill) of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Susan Peretto (Vince) of Delano, Calif.; and one son, Kevin (Inge) of Vine Grove, Ky. He leaves six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson Rd., Mission. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Dr., Overland Park, Kan, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Catholic Charities Hospice or KC Hospice House.
