Virgil V. Lacy, age 96, of Richmond, Mo, formerly of Overland Park, Ks, passed away January 25, 2012. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7100 Hadley, Overland Park, Ks. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park.
Virgil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Virgil worked 30 years for the Kansas City Terminal Railway, and was married to the love of his life, Fay, for 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fay, daughter Lynn, two brothers Glen and Fred, and one sister Marie Smith. Survivors include one son Leonard Lacy, and wife Marshia of Richmond, Mo; one sister Zona Sherry of Overland Park, Ks; two grandsons, Alan and Drew Lacy, and three great-grandchildren, Connor, Aidan, and Ashley Lacy, all of Richmond, Mo.
