Ana E. Delgado beloved wife, mother and grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2nd at AdventHealth Hospice in Altamonte springs, Florida at the age of 92. She was affectionately known as (“Annie, and Viejuchi”). Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Ana was the daughter of the late Segundo and Micaela Santiago. Ana graduated from University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She retired 27 years ago from Seminole State College as a vocational counselor for the nursing program.
Annie loved to knit, read and go for walks. Her favorite vacation was going on cruises, and she loved shopping at Ross. She loved music especially Spanish love ballads from Los Panchos and salsa music. Her favorite salsa musician was Marc Anthony. When she was feeling down and out all we had to do was play Marc Anthony to lift her spirits. She loved her grandchildren and was very close to her grandson, Alex. She was known for her friendly demeanor and outgoing nature. She loved company and she made sure you never left hungry. She would immediately command my father to cook something so she could sit down and talk.
Her warmth, kindness and ability to tell stories about her younger days was a favorite thing for her to do even if her friend or family member knew the story already. She had a way about her that you did not mind at all hearing the story again. She loved a good joke and her laugh was infectious.
Family was everything to Annie. Her husband, Julio, was the love of her life. She was devoted to her children and her grandchildren. She rarely missed a family event if she knew about it and was always present if you needed her- just say when and where.
She will deeply missed by her loving husband, Julio Delgado, whom she married 69 years ago this November 3rd; her daughters Shirley (Bob) Bankers, Arleen Delgado-Boudreaux (Bill Roberts), and Step-son, Julio (Zoribeth) Delgado; grandchildren Alexander Bankers, David, Christen, and Teresa Boudreaux and step grandchildren; Julie Beth (Christian) Michel and Nathalie Delgado; great grandchildren; Isaiah Christian, and Elaina Marie Michel. Ana was predeceased by her brother Luis Santiago.
