Andy was a third generation Duda family member who worked with A. Duda & Sons, Inc. based out of Oviedo, Florida. Andy’s career with DUDA spanned nearly 45 years, beginning in 1962. Andy began his career in the pure breed Brahman cattle program at the Cocoa Ranch. From there, Andy moved to the corporate headquarters office and stepped into a growing role supporting the business in the areas of purchasing, safety, human resources and finance.
During his time with DUDA, he also served as the general manager for RediFoods, the company’s celery canning and freezing operation, where he oversaw budgeting, production, and sales and marketing. Andy also served on the DUDA board of directors for many years, as well as serving as chairman of the board of directors for Every Home for Christ. He was also a founding member of the Joshua Foundation and served as it’s president until his passing.
Andy retired from DUDA in 2006, continuing to serve on the board of directors until 2013. He joined the Duda Family Council in 2014, where he was active until his passing, and became a member of the Shareholder Voice Committee in 2025.
Andy was known for his unwavering faith in the Lord and for exhibiting the strong Christian values passed down from Andrew Duda Sr., which were integral in shaping the legacy of DUDA and are the guiding force for the business today. His commitment to continuing the success of the business for the family and shareholders is reflected in a quote Andy shared as his personal statement while serving on the Duda Family Council:
“I am a strong advocate for the family and the success of the family business. As a proud ‘Gen 3’ member, it is my desire to keep the traditions alive that have made for both a strong family and family business. By asking the tough questions, I strive for understanding of how the business is working for all of us in an efficient, effective way. By involving myself in the Duda Family Council, I strive to be a link between family and shareholders and the business and board.”
Andy will be remembered in a celebration of life ceremony on June 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home located at 501 E. Mitchell Hammock Road, Oviedo FL.
