Austin Brooks Ekern (1997 – 2017) Austin Brooks Ekern, age 20 of Oviedo, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017. He was born on February 5, 1997 in Orlando, Florida. Austin is survived by his mother, Sharon Ekern; his father, Brent Ekern; his brothers, William Wieser and Cannon Ekern; and his grandmothers, Eldoris Ekern of Wisconsin and Betty Teague of South Carolina. Austin was a 2015 graduate of Hagerty High School and attended Florida State University. He was a proud member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
