Carter Robert Jenson

Carter was a smart, funny, adventurous, and caring young man. He was very athletic. Not one to settle for one sport, Carter played Hagerty Pop Warner football, Oviedo Babe Ruth, Oviedo Little League, Blue Dolphins Swimming, Stingrays Triathlon Team, and many other sports. Carter ran cross country and track all 4 years for Hagerty High School. He was part of the district championship team his senior year that also qualified for states. He loved his 4 years of culinary classes at Hagerty and was a favorite chef amongst his family and friends. He graduated from Hagerty in 2021. He was a proud UCF student majoring in Information Technology with a focus on cyber security. While attending UCF he worked for the Athletics Department filming all UCF sports. Later, he became a member of the UCF Knights Football Team, earning a scholarship with the video department. He loved this job and the team he worked with.

Carter had a very adventurous spirit. He loved roller coasters, white water rafting, ziplining, hiking and sky diving. He was always willing to try new food no matter how spicy or exotic. In recent years, Carter became a huge fantasy football fan and classic rock lover.

Carter is survived by his loving family, (parents) James and Irene Jenson, (siblings) Kendall (17) and Luke (14), (grandparents) Patti &Walt Calkins, Scott & Denise Jenson, (aunts & uncles) Katie & Kevin Hipsher, Brian and Lynn Sicoli, Patty and Lusinda Duffy and Bryan Fairbrother. (cousins) Kellen and Keegan Hipsher, Bailey Scott, Samantha and Emma Sicoli, Michael Duffy, Kai Jenson, Marissa Barnes, Miles Fairbrother.

Life won’t be the same without Carter, but we feel grateful for having such a wonderful son and comforted knowing that he lives on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and his community. He will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Carter Jenson Hagerty High School track fund in memory of his love for cross country and track.
