Charlie Elbert Beasley Jr.

He was born in Sanford, Florida on November 20, 1948. Charlie graduated from Oviedo High School and Received a Business Degree from University of Central Florida. He was married to Laura Beasley on January 19, 1968.

Charlie had a career in farming, worked for the city of Oviedo, and also construction.

Wheeler Farms (1973-1992), Zellwin Farms (1992-1996 and 1999-2002), City of Oviedo (1997-1998), City of Sanford (2003-2004), and Village Home Properties (2004-2017) before retiring in 2018. He served as the Volunteer Fire Chief in the 1970’s and was Mayor of Oviedo from 1986-1991.

He was a member of the building committee at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and had a passion for hunting, spending time with his family, making jokes, and being a light to everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by Mother, Julia Beasley (Jakubcin), Father, Charlie Elbert Beasley, and Brother Joseph R Beasley.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Beasley, children, Denise Fine (John) and Joseph Beasley (Kate), grandchildren, Michael Fine (Kristen), Julia Franke (Dalton), Jade Beasley, Reagan Wilson, and Rebecca Beasley, great grandchildren, Matthew Fine, Mason Franke, Kinsley Fine, and Hayden Franke, sisters Barbara Good and Virginia Mick (Ron).

A gathering of family and friends for Charlie will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
