Born on April 26, 1942, in Walnut Hill, Florida, Louise was the daughter of Minnie Lee Foster and Buary Washington Hasting. She made her home in Winter Springs, Florida, where she lived for 49 years and built a life centered on family, friendship, and community.
In 1960, while working the midnight shift at Chemstrand (later Monsanto), Louise met the love of her life, William "Bill" Vance. Their chance meeting grew into a lasting partnership and a marriage that spanned 39 years. Together they built a family, owned and operated an insurance brokerage, and enjoyed many years bowling together in local leagues.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" E. Vance, who passed away in 2001, and by her daughter, Patricia Vance, who passed away in 2009.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Tom) Wallis and Cindy (Dean) Fournier; her grandchildren, Brian (Shelby) Vance, Megan Fournier, and Melanie (David) Dobson; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Mia Dobson.
Beyond her professional life, Louise was known for her outgoing personality, competitive spirit, and love of spending time with friends and family. She was an avid bingo, bunko, and card player, and a bowler who rarely passed up an opportunity for a good game and good company. She was a proud member of the Casselberry Women's Club and the Winter Springs Senior Center, where she gathered with friends and amazed everyone with her remarkable luck twice each week. Her warmth, sense of humor, and gift for making friends wherever she went left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Louise's family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. To many beyond her immediate family, she was simply "Mom" or "Granny," titles she wore with pride and love. She opened her heart and home to friends and extended family alike, making everyone feel welcome and cared for. The memories she created, the lessons she shared, and the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Memorial services will be held on June 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel & Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32503. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Louise's life and the many memories she leaves behind.
