Eileen Janice Wahler, 84, of Casselberry, Florida, passed away on Saturday, May 8 after a long battle with cancer. Eileen was born in East Meadow, New York on October 8, 1936 to the late Charles Boesel and Georgiana Herberger. She married the late Arthur G. Wahler in 1961 and raised four children in Hollis, New York. Upon the death of her beloved husband, she relocated to Orlando with her son, Scott. She worked at Walmart and Sears before retiring in 2002.
Eileen was a loving, caring and dedicated mother and friend. She loved to knit and crochet and was revered for her made-with-love hand crocheted baby blankets. An avid animal lover, she doted on her family pets, especially her cherished dog, Tinkerbell.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Suzanne Stephan and husband Thomas, Sharon Barriga, and Scott Arthur Wahler; and her grandchildren Christopher A. Barriga, Alyssa M. Gerzanick and her husband Robert, and Austin E. Barriga.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)
