Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Family. It was a shock to hear of E.P. and his passing. You both are and were a big influence in my life for many years. I have a lot of fond memories of E.P. from work and hunting. If I ever get back to Oviedo we will try and look you all up.

Dear Mimi, Shelly, Marty, Sean & Chris and children ~ although it was not often that I saw Eldred once we graduated from LaGrange High School in 1964, the bond of friendship remained forever. We attended kindergarten and 12 years of school together. Facebook re-connected so many of our class members, and E.P. made communication fun with his great wit. He will be remembered as a Patriot, one who loved our country and unselfishly served in our military. E.P. was a good family man, hunter, and caring individual. All who were fortunate to know him are better for it. God bless your sweet family as you walk through this time, never alone....prayers and LOVE accompany you all. ~ Susan Hammett Poole

EP was a kind, quiet and very thoughtful man. EP was a gentleman and took very good care of his family, and especially his Mimi. Larry and I both appreciated his drive to accomplish and do excellent work in his business and at home. EP stepped up and was a groomsmen in our wedding because we needed him. He was soft spoken but when he did speak he had something to say and quite witty in his own way. EP will be greatly missed by all who knew him. RIP dear friend!

I met E.P. the night before my brother Sean married his daughter Shelly. I remember having a genuine chat with him as he drank an Irish Coffee. Several years later, E.P. and his family invited my family to their North Carolina home to celebrate Easter in 2012. I was very taken back by the invitation and their hospitality was absolutely wonderful. After the Easter egg hunt and dinner, our families went for a walk together. During, the walk E.P. picked some wildflowers and gave them to my daughter who was three. It was a sweet moment. My family’s thoughts and prayers go out to the Bruce family.

Mimi and family. E.P. Was a very dear person. We always enjoyed the days he spent hunting with us and had good laughs over his college football . More important then the hunt. He became more then a hunter years ago. He became a dear friend. We will miss his fall time with us so much.

It was such a joy getting to know EP. He was a quiet, thoughtful man with a wonderfully dry sense of humor about him. We all knew for certain that he loved life and his Mimi. I know he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Peace.

I feel so blessed to know E.P. for so many years in our hometown Oviedo community. E.P. served on City Council 83-91 when I was first hired as an Oviedo Firefighter. I always respected his problem solving leadership style and more importantly his friendship. Had yet another opportunity to become close as we both served on the Historical Society Board. Always grateful to a person who has served in our military and E.P.'s name is humbly on display at the Oviedo Veterans Tribute. Both Gale and I are deeply saddened and pray God provides the entire family great comfort and all of E.P.'s friends. Oviedo feels much different to us today with his absence.
