Elizabeth Coleman

Elizabeth Coleman passed peacefully at home on August 4, 2026, at the age of 81. Elizabeth Coleman was born on November 28, 1944 in Alamo, Ga, and was a resident of Oviedo, Florida. She was a loving mother who devoted herself to her two children, Karen and David and continued her love to her grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy. She was blessed with her wish to hold her great-grandchildren twins Violet and Malcolm. She was the loving and supporting wife of Bill Coleman for 61 years. Elizabeth was 17 when her sister Nancy and 19 when her brother Ben was born. She enjoyed many Christmases and thanksgivings with them and welcomed them to join her at the beach for many summer time vacations together. And speaking of Christmas and Thanksgiving, Elizabeth loved to cook. No one ever left the table hungry after one of her feasts. She enjoyed cake decorating and decorated birthday cakes for each birthday and baked and decorated 25 cup cakes several times a year for the grammar school years.

In 2010, Karen and David were living elsewhere and Amber (Nancy’s daughter) and her 8 month old daughter Cheyenne came to live with us. Elizabeth again took on the baby sitting with loving enthusiasm. Their help in the final month, allowed Elizabeth to stay at home in the rapidly declining health days. Karen, Amber and Bill were with Elizabeth when she stopped breathing. Cheyenne came in shortly after we realized Elizabeth had passed.

Elizabeth enjoyed quilting and was an active member of Friday Fabs for many years. Elizabeth suffered with Parkinson’s Disease fir six years and donated her brain to the University of Miami to support Parkinson’s research. She requested donation to The Parkinson's Foundation (www.Parkinson.org) instead of flowers.
