Skura, Emile W., passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 21, 2018. He is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on December 26, 1930, in Bonnyville, AB Canada. After leaving the Family Farm at age 17, he served in the Canadian Army and was honorably discharged in 1956. He then moved to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada,, where he worked for the Canadian Government and then met and married Hallie Mills on September 6, 1958. Emile was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Skura of Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada, formerly from Poland, Sisters Alfreda and Jenny; both of Bonnyville, AB. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hallie; Sister, Jean; his three children, Catherine (Carl), Robert (Deanie), Maureen (Joseph), his 8 beloved grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Emile was an early visionary in Central Florida. In 1968, he immigrated to United States and founded Prestige Cabinets, Winter Park, Fl. which expanded to Prestige (Industries) in Longwood, FL. This included several other Businesses including Banking, Housing, Manufacturing, and developing an Industrial Park .He also partnered in The Street Of Dreams and other Residential Communities. Emile was a philanthropist in his community including Golf Tournaments that raised thousands of dollars for the Orlando Sentinel Santa Fund. He and Hallie established the Skura Foundation an endowed freedom scholarship through UCF. Emile supported many Charities. Emile enjoyed the fruits of his labor. His great joys were his Family, Friends, Golf, Fishing, Canadian Hockey, Cards, Dog racing, Magic Basketball games, and World travel.
