Erik John Walter

Erik John Walter, age 44 of Winter Haven, passed away May 15, 2023. He was born March 12, 1979 in Park Ridge, Illinois. He attended Oviedo High School, Class of 1997. Erik was in ROTC and was also on their Lions football team.

Erik was a blessed gift from God and the most special "beloved first"...His mom and dad's first child and his maternal & paternal grandparent’s first grandchild!

Erik was a dearly loved son, grandson and big brother and also a much loved nephew, cousin, stepson, brother-in-law and a loyal friend to many!

Erik was his parents only child, for seven years and he was the most loving and joyful, bright light that filled their hearts, with an immeasurable love for him and he will be missed immensely!!

Erik “Quest” was a proficient Executive Chef and respected for his culinary skills in the Orlando area Hospitality industry.

Erik is survived by his mother, Michelle Walter and his brother, Christian Walter and also his maternal grandmother, Carole DiPinto. Erik is pre-deceased, by his father, John Walter and his paternal grandmother, Gertrude Mulder and by his maternal grandfathers, Arthur Sinopoli and Louis DiPinto.

Erik's Memorial will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 1:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King Street in the old historic Sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation, in Erik's memory to: ASPCA and to honor his love for animals, especially rescue dogs.
