Filomena "Fran" Whelan, 88, of Maitland, FL passed away Sunday, June 19. Born to Julia (Zachrau) and Feliciano Tartaglia December 23, 1927 in Islip, NY. Fran is survived by her children, Walter Whelan Jr., Luanne Whelan, Joyce Whelan, and Richard Breinlinger; sister, Marian Tartaglia-Foster; grandchildren, Cassie Breinlinger, Lauren Breinlinger, and Anne Marie Gans; and great-grandchildren, Christina Mavrovich and Matthew Mavrovich. Fran was known for loving to volunteer with the adult literacy council, playing the organ, crocheting, singing in her church choir, and above all, for loving her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association. Graveside memorial to be held on Friday, June 24 at 11am at All Faiths Memorial Park, 1390 Park Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707.
