Franklin D. Hinson Jr.

Franklin "Frank" Delano Hinson, Jr., age 61, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2016 at his home in Oviedo, Florida. Frank was born on June 18, 1955 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Franklin Delano Hinson, Sr. and Nancy Sarah Long Moss and was the oldest of five siblings.

After growing up and beginning his career in North Carolina, Frank moved to California where he met his loving wife of 25 years, Paula. Following their marriage in 1991, Frank and Paula moved to Oviedo, Florida, where they built a life surrounded by many loving friends. Frank was a proud and loving father of two sons and an adoring grandfather of four grandchildren. Frank had a strong faith in Christ and a blind love of family.

Frank was best described as a man of many interests. He was a talented and accomplished guitarist, a motorcycle enthusiast, fly fisherman, hunter and a HAM Radio operator and a kind and willing conservationist and a man of understated wisdom. He also was an animal lover who's life was made better during his long battle by his surviving min-pins Max and Schatzi.

Frank is survived by his wife, Paula Madera Hinson (Oviedo, Florida); his son and daughter-in-law, his son and daughter-in-law, Isaac and Lee-Marie Hinson (Kannapolis, North Carolina); Aaron and Annie Hinson (Sanford, Florida); his grandchildren, Gracelyn, Dominic, Elizabeth and Adlin Hinson; his siblings, Cynthia (Cissy) Painter, Daniel (Danny) Hinson, Rhonda Atwood and Clyde (Tim) Hinson. He also leaves behind an extended family that he loved very much.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the funeral home.

Frank's life touched many and he will be missed dearly. His family is grateful that he is now at peace and rejoicing with his Father in Heaven.
