I met Fred as a customer in my cigar store in 2004. He’d come in most mornings for coffee. He liked our place because you could smoke.
Fred was a sensitive, caring and generous person. He loved his cats, pianos, volunteering, and photography. He also was a bit of a codger... and proud of it! It makes me smile to remember him critiqueing a new Oviedo restaurant or how some place with poor customer service ticked him off.
We shared an enjoyment of sci fi movies and spent many Friday afternoons at the theatre.
We also bowled together in the ‘el cheapo’ league on Tuesdays. Fred wouldn’t bowl until the bar served Chivas. He was particular about his scotch.
I have happy memories of Fred and am smiling as I write this. I miss him every day...the original low talker

My son Dean & I met Fred 10 years ago where he was a volunteer at Hope Thrift store and food pantry in Oviedo. Fred's photography hobby was a blessing shared with many charity organizations. He loved taking photos of cats, especially his Maine coon cat. When it died I gave him a copy of Rainbow Bridge. Fred loved sharing his photos with others. His pictures included Megan at her Tim Tebow prom. In our many conversations I learned he was a Navy veteran, a dentist, and a music professor. Fred was from Missouri and made trips home for the holidays. When his niece had a baby he went home to see them. He told us she fell on ice and broke her arm. I wondered how she cared for the baby. Fred told me about a lady from his church whose son had committed suicide. He asked me to pray for her and I still do today. My love of cooking made Fred smile. His favorite was pasta and Italian sausage and brownies. Dean and I thank GOD for having our lives cross Fred's life path. We are truly blessed for having known him. Fred was a special person who cared for others & loved spending time and sharing with them.

I bowled with KFRED on Tuesday nights for about 3 years. He was a quiet, friendly man who knew many in and around the Oviedo area. He loved to take pictures and document local events. KFRED is missed by his team.

Frederic and I met after he left a note on my car's windshield about Maine Coon cats. He knew I loved them also as I had pictures of my two on the front license plate. He became a good and jovial friend.
