Geraldine “Jerry” Topoleski, 82, died May 8th at her residence at Madison at Oviedo, in Oviedo Fl.

Jerry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1937 and grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She graduated high school and completed nursing school to become a registered nurse. She married Edward Topoleski in 1959. They raised 2 children, a son and daughter. In 1979 Jerry and Ed moved to Central Florida and settled in Winter Springs. Jerry was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Casselberry, Florida, participating on the church altar guild. Her passion for creativity led her to crochet hundreds of blankets, baby items, and many different types of Christmas ornaments – all prized possessions of countless friends and family members. She will always be remembered for an energy and love of the Lord that eclipsed her petite stature.

Jerry is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Ed, her daughter Kelly / husband Ted; son Ed /wife Diane; and grandsons Eddie, Ted, Ben and granddaughter Stephanie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

  • A Memorial Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church in the near future.

Jerry was so thoughtful and loving, she would call me to ask how I was doing. Always, said we were partners in crime, after Diane an Ed were married. She made afghans and blankets for all the babies in the family. She will truly be missed by all. RIP✝️

Jerry always greeted me with a warm hug, a smile and usually something to laugh about she had a great sense of humor and wit about her. I still have many of the doilies, Christmas ornaments and blankets she made my children and grandchildren she didn’t leave anyone out in receiving the many treasures she made. Look out Lord she’ll keep you on your toes up there.
