Javier Elias Mucarzel Farah, de 82 años falleció en su casa de Orlando Florida el lunes 3 de enero de 2022. Javier nació el 8 de septiembre de 1939 en Caracas, Venezuela. Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Lourdes Mucarzel; hijas Georgeline y Merilyne; yerno Carlos Fonseca; nieto Adrián Fermín; nieta Carla Fonseca; sobrinas, Mery Angela D'Amico y Francesca Dupuy; sobrinos, Simón D'Amico, José Elías Mucarzel y Francisco Dupuy.

A Javier E. Mucarzel le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Elias J. Mucarzel; Madre, Marie Mucarzel Farah; hermano, Vicente Elías Mucarzel; hermanas, Desiree Mucarzel, Leyla Mucarzel y Yye Mucarzel.

Javier E. Mucarzel recibió su Licenciatura en Ciencias en Ingeniería Química y Matemáticas de la Universidad del Sur de Mississippi en 1963, seguido de una Maestría en Educación (MAEd) Currículo e Instrucción en el Instituto Virginia P. y la Universidad Estatal (Virginia Tech). También obtuvo su Ph.D. en Educación de Adultos y Recursos Humanos en la Universidad de California.

Javier E. Mucarzel fue socio del Club Rotario Caroní Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. Se desempeñó como Presidente en 1981. Fue Coordinador General de la Cámara de Comercio de Venezuela en Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. Durante muchos años fue miembro de la Junta Directiva de Casa Venezuela en Orlando, FL y fue un pionero en la comunidad de venezolanos en apuros.

Algunos de los aspectos más destacados de su carrera de 45 * años en Educación fueron: Director de la Escuela Internacional Americana en Puerto Ordaz - Venezuela (1976 - 1984). Jefe del Servicio Educativo Administrativo del Sistema Escolar Internacional SIDOR para niños norteamericanos y venezolanos (1985 - 1989). Educación de Adultos en la Universidad Andrés Bello de Caracas - Venezuela (1993 - 1995). Recibió el Premio al Maestro del Año en múltiples ocasiones.

Javier E. Mucarzel disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia y bromear. Se retiró de la docencia en 2010. Javier marcó la diferencia en la vida de muchas personas. Era un personaje que extrañarán quienes tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerlo. Su buen ejemplo y su influencia positiva lo han hecho querido por quienes lo conocieron. Se le extrañará mucho.

El deseo de Javier era ser incinerado. No quería tener servicios funerarios. Una misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo en una fecha posterior.

Javier Elias Mucarzel Farah, 82 passed away at his home in Orlando Florida on Monday, January 3, 2022. Javier was born on September 8, 1939, in Caracas, Venezuela. He is survived by his loving wife, Lourdes Mucarzel; daughters Georgeline and Merilyne; son-in-Law Carlos Fonseca; grandson Adrian Fermin; granddaughter Carla Fonseca; nieces, Mery Angela D'Amico and Francesca Dupuy; nephews, Simon D'Amico, Jose Elias Mucarzel, and Francisco Dupuy.

Javier E. Mucarzel was preceded in death by his father, Elias J. Mucarzel; Mother, Marie Mucarzel Farah; brother, Vicente Elias Mucarzel; sisters, Desiree Mucarzel, Leyla Mucarzel, and Yye Mucarzel.

Javier E. Mucarzel received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1963, followed by a Masters in Education (MAEd) Curriculum and Instruction at Virginia P. Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He also earned his Ph.D. in Adult Education and Human Resources at the University of California.

Javier E. Mucarzel was a member of the Rotary Club Caroni Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. He served as the President in 1981. He was a General Coordinator of the Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. For many years he was a member of the Board of Directors of Casa Venezuela in Orlando, FL and was a pioneer in the community for the struggling Venezuelans.

Some of the highlights of his 45*year career in Education were: Principal of the American International School in Puerto Ordaz - Venezuela (1976 - 1984). Head of Administrative Educational Service of SIDOR International School System for American and Venezuelan children (1985 - 1989). Adult Education at the University Andres Bello in Caracas - Venezuela (1993 - 1995). He received the Teacher of the Year Award on multiple occasions.

Javier E. Mucarzel enjoyed spending time with his family and joking around. He retired from teaching in 2010. Javier made a difference in the lives of many people. He was a character that those who had the opportunity to meet him will miss. His good example and positive influence have made him loved by those who knew him. He will be missed greatly.

Javier's wish was to be cremated. He did not want to have funeral services. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
