To Jean and children, it was my honor to know John for the Lart 20 years. We got to know each other through politics which he loved. But we became good friends. He love his Lord his Jean and his children. John and I shared a love for the Florida we knew as children and the wonderful outdoors. We hunted, we rode in the woods and ate at his favorite places in East Orange County, all memories I will cherish. Old Timers Day will never be the same. He left us too soon and I shall miss him greatly.
Jean my condolences to you and the family from Kitty and me,

RIP Johnny, you have had a hard and wonderful life here on earth, now enjoy eternity with God. You and your family have been a part of my family for years. I remember the times that you gave Dad a hard time and he gave it right back to you. You could never get a head of Mother, so I think you stopped trying. I remember that you were my first boyfriend.....even though we were know to fight every once in a while. Jean, Cheryl, Sheila, Hazel, and Bill, I love you guy and will remember you in my prayers....

To Jean and family my deepest condolences.

I have lost a dear friend with John's passing. He was my mainstay for providing a "wild Florida" meal for visiting foreign dignitaries. I could always depend on him. The Kennedy Space Center top brass would ask for John every time we planned a special meal for the British, French, Russian, etc . special visitors. I will remember John , his truck and special barbecue cooker standing prepared as the guests arrived. He was always embarrassed when he was introduced but always did a great job describing his wild Florida meal .

John will live in my memories forever.

Dear Jean and Family,
We have so many memories of John. He was larger than life! We remember him keeping that part of Florida safe from gators and wild hogs and often think back to the years when Steve worked at the Refuge and John was such a big part of that.
We know that you are comforted by knowing that John is now in a place of unimaginable beauty and peace and that you WILL be together again. We send our love and deepest sympathy to all of you.
