

John was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 29, 1944 to Benjamin Schuyler and Etselle Thibodeaux.
John graduated from St. Aloysius High School in 1962. Immediately following high school in enlisted into the United States Air Force as a Morse Intercept Operator.
He was married to Martha "Dee" Maes on February 10, 1968.
John worked at State Farm Auto as a Policy Service Representative in Florida and Colorado. He retired from State Farm in 2010.
He had a passion for fishing like no other. He enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football with his favorite teams being the Orlando Magic and New Orleans Saints. He was involved with Mid Florida Golden Retriever Club with focus on agility, hunting and obedience. Being born in Louisiana he was also a lover of Cajun food, especially raw oysters.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Dee; children, Karis (David) Ferguson, Dena (Bruce) Wemple; grandchildren, Ashtin, Skyler, Hunter, Brad, Austin; great-grandchildren, Sage, Brynlee, Gracelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
