My heart goes out to you Danielle. The love that you two shared was immeasurable and will be forever lasting. You completed each other; and were probably getting to the point of doing so with each other's sentences as well 💏
I may not have known Josue personally; but I knew of him through you. His love, loyalty and dedication to serve and honor the children he helped in his career, was as strong as he held for family and friends.  That will be his legacy not forgotten. 
And there will always be a part of him that he only shared with you, that is his gift to you.

We saw each other last year for the last time. The last conversation i can recollect happened  up there in the  maze that we were definitely a little past age to go up to but will never miss and opportunity  like it because we were kids at heart and when we had the last lap to go there was and exit and you said “well this is as far as  I go” and I said   “what? no  come on “ as madrina was down there waiting . That is been going to my mind so much this last couple of days . I feel like me and you we were always so similar in being just at heart still kids. I am guted that we wont get to play again in this life  but it has been a pleasure and a privilege  to be your cousin. I love you.

Josue you are and forever will be a remarkable young man, who shared loved and a positive spirit. Your smile brought light to a room.  You will be missed.  My deepest condolences to the family.

So, who was Josue for me?  Someone who, quite frankly, never left a room quietly. Not because he needed attention, but because Josué’s spirit filled every space he entered with humor, honor, and heart.
Josué wasn’t just the son of my best friend, though that alone meant he had a special place in my life from the very beginning. He was family. But even more than that, Josué became one of the greatest gifts to my own family: especially to my son, Fernando.
In the world of special needs parenting, you pray, no, you beg; for someone trustworthy. Someone who doesn’t just “watch” your child but truly sees them. Someone who respects their dignity, meets their needs, and treats them with a balance of patience and structure. For us, that person was Josué.
He didn’t just do respite care. He did Disney. He did silly TV shows. He did serious conversations when needed. And above all, he did it all with heart.
And let me tell you, he had the ultimate superpower: behavior management by name alone. If Fernando was misbehaving, all we had to say was, “Do I need to call Josué?” and instantly, order was restored. Josué didn’t demand respect, he earned it. And somehow, he managed to be both firm and deeply beloved. Fernando loved him, not despite the structure, but because of it.
He brought that rare gift of being able to correct with kindness, to be strict without being harsh, and to lead with both laughter and love. And speaking of love—there was an ongoing, hilarious rivalry in our world. Not between Josué and me, but between Josué and Fernando… over who got more love and attention from Josué’s mom, Maricel.
But Josué was more than a source of fun and firmness, he was someone I trusted with my whole heart. As a mom in the autism world, that is no small thing. Trust like that is rare. Priceless. Sacred. And Josué honored that trust every single day he showed up. He made our lives lighter. He gave me peace. He gave Fernando joy. And in so many ways, he gave us Jesus.

THANK YOU for bringing so much light into our lives. The Lord used you time and time again to remind us of His love and grace. You will be deeply missed, but our hearts find peace knowing you are with Him. We love you so much, brother.

Thank you for be there! we hope to see you in heavens .  This is not the end but the beginning of a new life in eternity .

In Loving Memory of Josué Torres Burgos

Today we say goodbye with deep sorrow, yet with immense gratitude, to a truly exceptional human being: Josué Torres Burgos.
Josué lived with a heart full of faith, love, and hope. His love for God was the center of his life and the source of the peace he so naturally shared with everyone around him. He had a special way of reflecting that divine light through every smile, every kind word, and every act of goodness.

Always joyful, Josué radiated happiness. Wherever he went, he filled the atmosphere with warmth and laughter. He had a beautiful gift for connecting with everyone—children and adults alike—leaving behind traces of kindness and joy. His social spirit, positive energy, and unique personality made him someone truly unforgettable.

When I close my eyes, I see a cheerful little boy with a baseball bat in his hand, fiercely competitive in board games, and saying the funniest things that made me laugh out loud. That was Josué—genuine, full of life, and overflowing with joy that brightened every place he entered.

His time on earth was brief, but the impact he left is eternal. Today we remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the blessing of having known him and shared in his light.

Josué is a very special boy for me. He is my first godson. He gave me the title of godmother and in his last words for me, I’m his fairy godmother. 

I waited for him at the hospital when he was born, I held him in my arms and even nursed him occasionally while he grew stronger. He went to the same parks, school and church as my own children. Always together!

Josue always was happy, bustling and spontaneous… He filled the house and was contagious with his joy and riot. He used to keep us in  our toes when he was small. We never knew what could happen when we were with him. He always was an energy explosion. He was not intimidated by anything, he was always willing to accept any challenge. Last year, just a few months out of surgery, he climbed the Bull Maze to overcome 40 obstacles in the heights. Really, calculating risks was never his strong suit…

He was funny, he liked telling jokes and he laughed more than anyone… Josue was a Prince Charming that hooked everybody with his personality. He was loving, kind, authentic and a trustworthy person. A young man with an unbreakable faith in God!

 Today Josue shows us the way and he can say along with the apostle Paul : "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his return."
2 Timothy 7-8
