Mildred Rogers Lumpkin of Deltona, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2023. Mildred was born in Talladega County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Melvin and Fannie Mae Rogers. Mrs. Lumpkin was a retired nurse from Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. She was a mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Mildred loved gardening and spending time with her family. Her later years were spent studying and gathering information on her family's genealogy.
She is survived by three children; two sons, C. Roger Lumpkin and his wife Susan, Scottie D. Lumpkin and his wife Suzanne and daughter Patti Lumpkin Maxwell. Three granddaughters, Summer Maxwell Summers and her husband Tyler, Emily Lumpkin Hamm and her husband Joe, and Wynter Maxwell Howell and her husband Austin. Three great grandchildren; Fiona Quinn Hamm, Tallulah Grace Summers and Walker Alan Howell, and her sister Reba Webb and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband,Clyde M. Lumpkin, her parents, two brothers; Wilmer Rogers, Willard Rogers and sister, Roberta Anzalone.
Mrs. Lumpkin will be laid to rest at a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2023, at Forest Lawn Gardens 730 Golden Springs Road Anniston, Alabama at The garden of Devotion.
