Raul Candelario

Raúl Candelario González, age 83 of Orlando, passed away Thursday November 12, 2015. He was born July 10, 1932 in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico to Germán Candelario and María González.Married to Carmín López de Candelario, his wife for 55 years. An Army Veteran, he graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, "Colegio".Served as president of the construction conglomerate Empresas Inabon in Ponce,Puerto Rico for more than twenty years and was also the owner and president of United Asphalt Corp. and affiliated companies. Also served as president of various professional entities in the construction sector. Don Raúl was a leading member and past President of Phi Eta Mu Fraternity. An avid and knowledgeable sports fan , he loved watching sports, particularly basketball and baseball. Truly cherished being outside and working on landscaping, gardening and many home improvement ideas. Liked keeping up with current events, local and internationally along with cooking and baking. Above all, he loved his family.It was his world! He is survived by his Wife, Carmen; Children, Raúl Antonio Candelario, Raúl Alberto Candelario, Karinee Candelario, Suzette Candelario, Raúl Arnaldo Candelario, Raúl Armando Candelario, Raúl Andrew Candelario, and Raúl Alexis Candelario; siblings, Germán Candelario, Gladys Candelario, Hector Radames Candelario, Miriam Candelario, Doris Candelario, César Candelario and Idelfonso Candelario; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by siblings, Jose Ramón Candelario and Luis Adalberto Candelario. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 6-8 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Oviedo Chapel.
